The National Electric Company (PLN) seems to face difficulties in delivering services to the public. Fuel price is the escape goat of the company’s incompetence in managing energy for the public.

Jakarta, the capital, is experiencing a series of planned blackouts risking the economics and other activities in the megapolitan of 12 million.

Five minister has issued a joint policy of distributing energy consumption, declaring company’s to change their production schedules. Company’s are encouraged, if not obliged, to open on Saturdays and Sundays and moving the holiday to one of the week days.

Maybe concerts and the music industry have to adapt as well. Performance might no longer take place in the dark room in the evening. An afternoon garden concert, under the clear sky might be the alternative.

Not using electricity and not afraid of blackouts in the middle of a concert, it might be a nice idea…. As long as we don’t get burned under the hot ‘kemarau’ sun.

~just a little funny thought
