Kepada para mahasiswa
yang merindukan kejayaaan
Sebuah catatan kebanggan
di lembar sejarah manusia
Wahai kalian yang rindu kemenangan
Wahai kalian yang turun ke jalan
demi mempersembahkan jiwa dan raga
untuk neg’ri tercinta
1998
10 tahun berlalu.
10 years have gone by.
Lagu ini terdengar di jalan-jalan di Indonesia
This very song was sung on the streets of Indonesia
Kala itu reformasi berdengung,
Reformation was proclaimed,
Puluhanribu turun ke jalan,
Tens of thousands marched to the streets,
Memenuhi 8 lajur sepanjang beberapa kilometer
Filling 8-lanes streets for kilometres
didukung dengan bahan makanan dan doa dari mereka yang ada di rumah
supported by logistics and prayers from those at home
Satu rezim jatuh
a regime fell
Ufuk timur akan bercahaya
A dawn had to come
2008
10 tahun kemudian,
10 years later,
BBM masih langka
fuel is scarce
Pangan masih barang mahal
food is a luxury
Kita masih menunggu cahaya terbit itu
10 years later, a dawn has yet to come
Apakah semangat itu masih di sana?
Is the spirit still there?
Merdeka

The all men orchestra from Vienna is choosing a woman violinist to become its first woman concertmaster in its entire one a half century old history. Yes, Albena Danailova is going to lead Vienna Staatsoper Orchestra which members are also the members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, as stated by musicalamerica.com.
The orchestra is considered as the finest in the world and has only recently invite women to join their forces, in 1997. No women had ever conducted Vienna Philharmonic till January 2008, Simone Young conducted. Moreover, there never has been any Asians to join this band which are deemed unable to produce Wiener Philharmoniker sound. But now it has Seiji Ozawa, a Japanese condutor as the state opera music director.
Women issues down, one to go. Is there any Asians interested in joining the ensemble?
